Brett Hodge hails from the northern Texas Panhandle, where two dominant industries shape the landscape: farm and ranch, or oil and gas. Embarking on his journey three decades ago, Brett took the plunge into the realm of oil and gas at the age of 18. Starting from the ground up as a roustabout and water hauler, he has dedicated the past 20 years to mastering completion chemistries and refining optimal operational strategies.
His passion lies in realizing science-based technologies and witnessing their transformative power in action. Brett is exhilarated by the industry's evolving trajectory and the abundance of technological innovations that fuel remarkable efficiencies. However, he acknowledges a prevailing challenge: the shifting mindset within the workforce, a resilience he believes is waning.
Beyond the realm of work, Brett finds solace and adventure in outdoor pursuits, embracing the thrill of mountain biking, hiking, and scaling summits.

Patented Methodology
Our Refined Way workflow is not “standard practice.” It’s a patented, proprietary process grounded in mineralogy, equilibrium analysis, and reactive chemistry.
End-to-End Approach
From formation evaluation, through predictive modeling, to chemistry prescription, execution, and performance verification — we own every step.
Proven Results
Across multiple basins, operators see consistent production uplift, reduced Lease Operating Expense, and verified CO₂ / H₂S abatement.
Sustainability Built In
We don’t just optimize wells — we optimize them responsibly. Our approach supports environmental accountability and potential carbon-credit pathways.
Refined Completions started with a simple frustration: the industry kept chasing commodity fixes—who could provide the cheapest chemical—instead of asking what the geology actually needed. Too often, that mindset delivered short-term “wins” and long-term damage: compromised formation integrity, disappointing performance, and wells that were harder to manage over time.
So we built a different path—process over products. By dissecting why completions fail (scale, fines migration, clay instability, acid gas formation), we developed a repeatable, measurable approach that replaces guesswork with predictable decisions.
Our vision is to redefine what a healthy well means: stable decline, maximum recoverable hydrocarbons, and a smaller environmental footprint—because every completion should be engineered to protect the formation and perform reliably for the long haul.
